Compared to the Designjet 815, there were many improvements made when it came to features and printing options. There was much negative things to say about the 815, but there was many positive things to say about the HP DesignJet 820. Consumers are still buying this printer with the objective of simplicity. This printer offers users a simple base that will allow them to print not only documents, but cards and high quality texts.

Pros

One of the great things that makes this printer one of a kind is that it offers consumers three different features in one. You can not only print but you can copy and scan as well. The question is, do these features deliver high quality results? For most it does what it is suppose to do while for others, it’s just a mediocre printer.

Whether it’s justified or not, the HP DesignJet 820 has many great things like the ability to produce large-format color and black-and-white scans. Not only can you get large formats in prints but you can do so in scan and copies as well.
When it comes to printing out large files, you don’t have to worry about speed because it as capable of printing at a high speed.

It is astonishing to most users that they were able to get as much memory as they. 160mb of printing memory and 1GB of scanner memory made saving important documents and prints easy and effortless.

Cons

Unfortunately you won’t get the wireless feature that most printers offer. Ethernet is the only thing offered with this printer. Which means wires will be apart of your setup.

For the most part this printer was developed with users in mind. It’s functionality could not be denied which is why it’s finding it’s way into homes.
